Jacobi Jupe, the rising star of 'Hamnet', is set to join Scarlett Johansson in a new 'Exorcist' horror movie produced by Blumhouse and Universal. This fresh take on the supernatural horror classic is written and directed by Mike Flanagan, known for his Stephen King adaptations and TV shows. The film is neither a remake nor a sequel, but a bold new iteration that will explore the demonic possession of a young girl and the priests who try to save her. Principal photography is set to begin in New York in March, with plot details under wraps, but it's rumored that Jupe will play Johansson's son. Jacobi Jupe, who is the brother of 'A Quiet Place' actor Noah Jupe, has been making waves with his acclaimed performance in 'Hamnet', earning nominations for the London Film Critics Circle and Critics Choice Awards. He's also appeared in 'Before' and 'Peter Pan and Wendy', and will next be seen in the horror thriller 'Victorian Psycho'.
