Forecast details suggest most locations will see roughly 1 to 3 inches of snow, with a worst-case scenario approaching 4 inches. The eastern part of the region is expected to receive less accumulation, and areas like eastern Virginia Beach may see only about an inch. Snow is forecast to begin for most areas between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Monday.

Franklin City
- Public schools closed on Monday.
Hampton
- Public schools will dismiss two hours early for students and staff. Night shift custodians should not report. After-school programs and activities, including PM preschool and Head Start, are canceled. Sports events are canceled.
Virginia Peninsula Community College
- Normal operations through 11 a.m., then switch to remote work and learning after 1 p.m.
Isle of Wight County
- Public schools closed on Monday.
- Isle of Wight Academy closed; Monday will be a virtual learning day for students. Preschool and before/after care are closed. All sports and after-school activities canceled.
Mathews County
- Public schools closed Monday.
Newport News
- Denbigh Baptist Christian School operates on a half-day schedule. Athletic events canceled.
- Public schools operate on a half-day dismissal. All after-school activities and events canceled.
New Kent County
- Public schools closed Monday.
Norfolk
- Norfolk Botanical Garden closes at 2 p.m., including the Dominion Energy Garden of Lights.
Northampton County (Virginia)
- Public schools closed for students and 10-month staff on Monday. 11- and 12-month employees should report on time. All afternoon and evening activities canceled.
Poquoson

Suffolk
