After 41 years, Center City's longest-operating Japanese restaurant has closed. Shiroi Hana, a beloved establishment, served its last meal in January, marking the end of an era. The restaurant's history dates back to 1984 when it opened as part of a nationwide group of restaurants owned by Sun Myung Moon and the Unification Church. Despite its modest beginnings, Shiroi Hana gained recognition, including a visit from Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall in 1989.
